So our old roommate is getting married and just bought a house. So we currently have a room available.

The rent is $350 + 1/3rd of utilities, which comes to about another ~$50-75 each month, mostly because of the heating and air conditioning. The lease runs until the end of June, and we are staying here next year as well.

I'm a grad student, and my roommate is an undergrad, who likes to grill, and hopes whoever moves in has a big appetite. But... if you're a vegetarian that works as well, our old roommate was and we've refrained admirably from adding meat to his mac & cheese.

Other than that, we have everything communal that you would need. We usually buy groceries communally, but we're not really anal about
splitting the bill evenly or anything.

We keep the house pretty clean. My room I will admit, is a bit... disorganized. Our policy on doing the dishes is, we'll do them when we do them... since we don't have a lot of dishes its kinda often, which is good because we don't like dishes piling up. We don't really split any chores, we just sort of do whatever whenever we feel like it, and its kept things in order pretty well.

A little bit about the apartment-it has entirely new carpet and updated appliances (stove, fridge, etc.) It is two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, with ample living space. The rent includes water, sewage, etc. and we pay electric and internet/cable. There is a graduate student discount of 25 dollars-which makes this apartment a great deal! The room that would be available has a ton of closet space, and there is a storage unit above the apartment (although we've never had to use it.) There are multiple laundry facilities in the complex, as well as a fitness room, which I use pretty regularly. It is on the 6 bus line, which goes directly through campus, past the library and IMU. There is really no better deal for the price in Bloomington-I've looked! The house is fully furnished throughout, and the bedroom that will be yours is peaceful and has its own entrance facing the large backyard; the study has a wood-stove, which makes working there particularly pleasant in the winter (and also keeps the heating bill down). Additionally, there are a large living and dining room, and a washer and dryer as well. It's a 15-min walk to the Sample Gates, and about 2 minutes to the farmer's market during the warm months.

Ideally, I'd like to find someone to rent through August, but I'm semi-open to other options. We've been using the space as an art studio because of it has several windows, but it is a very suitable bedroom.
