We are taking orders now for 2026 nucs, queens, and queen cells. We are a small producer and can only support small orders (generally 10 or fewer though we can produce more queen cells on request). Availability will generally be in May for queens and queen cells and early June for nucs, but can vary depending on what the spring weather is like. Contact us to discuss your needs.
All queens will be daughters of the Indiana Queen Breeders Association (IQBA) II queen pictured above. These queens have superior genetics for Indiana conditions and have been selected for honey production, gentleness, fecundity, VSH, and mite biter traits with the help of Purdue University researchers.
Nucs will come in a Pro Nuc or Jester EZ Nuc box with a mesh transport bag for $195. You can expect to receive five deep frames with approximately three frames of brood in various stages, one frame of nectar and pollen, one frame of drawn comb so the queen has space to lay, and plenty of bees. Queens will be marked with a white dot for 2026.
Mated queens come in JZBZ introduction cages with attendants - $40. Mated queens will be marked with a white dot.
Unmated queens also come in JZBZ introduction cages with attendants - $25.
Queen cells come in roller cages which can function as an emergence cage - $10.
For beginners who need help getting started, we can deliver nucs within 30 miles of our location for an additional $30, help you get the bees settled into their new home, and answer any questions you may have for up to 1 hour.
