This is a handmade blackish heavy glass bowl made about 20 years ago by a fellow artist and good friend in Branson, MO. He retired after years blowing glass to go work for shipping company. What a loss to the art world!
I have several of his pieces. This particular bowl was made in an effort to emulate 'carnival glass', a highly collective line of glassware that began being made by the Fenton Art Glass Company of West Virginia in the early 1900's. I believe he equalled or surpassed their beautiful work. This is a stunning piece.
Size is 11" in diameter at the top and 4.5" deep. As he only made about 6-7 pieces in this effort, this is a one-of-a-kind piece and I have been the only owner of it. We traded for my photography way back when. Good trade! Price is $130. I can do cash or SQUARE or PayPal. Can come see, touch, feel, shine the light on it to see the iridescence at my studio on the south side of Bloomington. Arrange a time that works and I will show it to you.
