2019 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Manhattan Midnight. I'm a sucker for blue guitars.
Excellent condition guitar that I bought new in 2019. My band days are over and it has always lived in its case and has never left my property. I take care of my instruments, and apart from some mild pick scratching ,etc. there is nothing wrong with it other than some missing finish on the headstock that I couldn't get to show up on the camera...it's minor, but I do feel the need to tell you about it.
I have not modified it besides putting Dunlop Straploks on it. I have the original buttons of course should you want to convert it back. I did polish the frets and they look good, wear-wise. I usually top wrap my strings on the tailpiece, but since I'm probably in the minority on this point I reverted to standard stringing with a new set of Ernie Ball Super Slinkies (9's).
The finish is thick on the headstock and dark so the serial number is hard to read...common on dark finish Gibbies. You can read it in person, my camera couldn't. Weight: 9.5 lbs.
The burstbuckers have more dynamic range than 490's and I quite like them...sounded great down tuning to Eb drop C# for that Tool, AIC, and Deftones kind of thing. Nailed Page and Duane Allman/Dicky Betts. See the pics for outputs and neck measurements. I think 8k output on a bridge pickup is about perfect.
Rounded C neck is comfy. Amber tone knobs are the coolest. I prefer Grover tuners, but many people like the traditional Klusons. I just don't like changing parts on a guitar...it seems wrong somehow.
The AA flame top glimmers its iridescence when you move it in the light.
Comes with all the case candy, i.e. strap, killer tool, polishing cloth, literature, etc. Case is clean and still has that new guitar smell. Non-cigarette smoker.
Do I want to sell this LP? NO, but I have to, unfortunately, and that's that.
