This dummy is in excellent to like new condition. It has been professionally upgraded. Instead of a pull-string at the back of it's neck, it now has a handle inside it's torso that controls the head, which can look in any direction naturally, as well as a control for the mouth. This is vastly improved, incomparable to the simple pull-string format, and much more enjoyable to watch and use.
It is considered a semi-professional, upgraded dummy, and Mortimer is an entertaining character.
The back of it's neck says Juro Novelty Co. Inc. 1968. But this is a Goldberger reproduction described on the original packaging as "Edgar Bergen's 30" Mortimer Snerd Celebrity Ventriloquist Doll."
