My apologies to g-d and my struggling community for being seemingly so flippant about this but I am moving in an uncomfortably soon timeline and food banks, etc. won't take expired food and there's too much to walk a few blocks to the homeless. Additionally a lot of the food is like sauces and items that aren't easily eaten by those without infrastructure.
As such, if you go to the dumpster at the 544 south lincoln street apartments bags of really nice mildly expired, shelf stable canned and bottled goods are there for the taking.
they're the limestone multi story ones. (you do have to enter off of lincoln street though google maps will try to get you to turn off 1st, you cannot...)
I'm not monitoring this post, I will delete it when the goods are gone or in the morning when it's gotten too cold for the glass jars to not have broken.
